Welcome back, Calculus Monday

Hello to Monday morning and waking up to some Calculus! Sundays are my longest day and latest night of tutoring so Monday mornings are always a challenge. I’m a tea drinker (I’ve never gotten into the taste of coffee) so that always helps me through my most difficult mornings!

My AB Calculus students are still working their way through what is probably the longest chapter in their book (it’s Chapter 3 for them). It goes from the long way of doing derivatives (limit definition) through the power rule, product rule, quotient rule, chain rule, implicit differentiation, inverse trig function derivatives, exponential and logarithm derivatives and then their TEST! Whew…that’s a lot for one chapter. They very recently learned implicit differentiation so that is our video for today…

My BC Calculus students are wrapping up their beginning integrals chapter. It has taught them how to evaluate integrals in different stages…before learning the “easy” way! I’ve given a run-down of the ways you can take an integral leading up to (and including) the “easy” way in this video…

I hope you all have a great week! Hang in there…hopefully my videos will make your lives a little easier 🙂
